Create an employee payslip online with Adaptive Pay’s free Singapore payslip generator. Enter the relevant salary and payment details to prepare a clear payslip for your employee.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Enter company and pay-period details
Start with your company name, address, pay-period start and end dates, and payment date.

Why this matters:
These details appear on every payslip
They set the period used for CPF calculations
They keep the payroll record clear
Tip: The payment date cannot be before the pay-period start date.

2. Add your employees
Add each employee and enter their full name, date of birth, citizenship or residency status, payment method, and bank information.

Keep in mind:
Employee code is optional
Date of birth is required for CPF calculations
Use a separate employee entry for each person

3. Enter pay details
Choose Hourly or Salaried, then complete the pay fields for the selected employee.

For hourly employees:
Enter each pay rate and hours worked
Add overtime, CPF additions, income, or deductions when needed
For salaried employees:
Enter the basic salary
Add allowances, overtime, additional wages, or deductions when needed

4. Review the calculations
Check the estimated gross pay, CPF contributions, fund deductions, employer CPF, SDL, and estimated net pay shown for each employee.

Before generating:
Correct any highlighted validation errors
Confirm the pay type and dates
Check manual overrides carefully

5. Generate and download payslips
Agree to the terms, select Review and generate, check each preview, then choose one combined PDF, individual payslips in a ZIP file, or email delivery.

After generation:
Sign in with your email to save payroll history
Send individual payslips by email when employee emails are provided
Check your inbox and spam folder if the verification code does not arrive

Information entered into the tool is used to calculate, generate, save, and, when you choose email delivery, send payslips to the selected recipients.

Important:

  • Before sign-in, working data and drafts may be held in your browser storage. Avoid shared devices and clear the site data when finished.
  • Generating payslips requires email verification. Generated employee details, payroll amounts, drafts, and payroll history are stored in your authenticated organisation account.
  • Access to saved payroll data requires authenticated account access and is limited to the organisation’s data.
  • If you choose email delivery, the PDF is sent through the configured email provider to the recipients you select.
  • Payroll history and drafts are not automatically deleted by the tool. Follow your organisation’s retention policy and contact your administrator if records need to be removed.

Best practice: Enter information only when you are authorised to process it, use the tool over a trusted connection, and review the Privacy Policy for the full terms.

Use the preview to check the employee name and code, date of birth, pay type, payment method, salary period, payment date, earnings, CPF, deductions, gross pay, and net pay.

Important: Correct any mistake in the employee or pay details before generating or emailing the payslip.

The tool uses the contribution rates available for the selected payroll period together with the employee’s date of birth, citizenship or residency status, PR effective date, CPF option, and CPF-applicable wages.

  • Employee CPF is deducted from net pay.
  • Employer CPF is shown separately and is not deducted from the employee’s net pay.
  • Contribution-group deductions are included when a fund is selected.
  • SDL is shown as an employer levy.

Check: The employer remains responsible for confirming the employee status, contribution option, and final amounts before issuing.

Gross pay

is the total of the entered earnings before employee deductions.

Total deductions

includes employee CPF, selected fund deductions, and other deductions.

Net pay

is the amount remaining after those deductions.

Employer CPF and SDL are displayed for employer reference and are not included in the employee’s net pay deduction total.

Correct the employee or pay details and generate the payslip again. If a payroll already exists for the same period, the tool will ask whether you want to overwrite it.

Completed payroll records are protected from changes. Keep the corrected PDF and follow your organisation’s approval and record-retention process.

The tool generates an individual PDF for each selected employee and sends it to the email address you confirm. Check every recipient address before sending because the PDF contains personal and salary-related information.

  • Only selected recipients receive a payslip.
  • Check spam or junk folders if the recipient cannot find the email.
  • Use the download option when you need to distribute the PDF through another approved channel.

No. It is a payroll-generation and calculation tool that uses the information entered and the contribution rates configured for the application. It does not replace your payroll review, approval controls, professional advice, or obligations under applicable requirements.

Confirm the final figures and employee details before issuing payslips, and refer to the relevant official guidance or your payroll adviser when a situation is unclear.

Yes. Adaptive Pay offers this online payslip generator for free. Check the tool and page for any usage limits or conditions that apply.

For employees covered by Singapore’s Employment Act, employers must issue itemised payslips. The required information can include the employer and employee names, payment date, salary period, basic salary, allowances, additional payments, deductions and net salary. Where applicable, payslips must also include overtime hours, overtime pay and the relevant overtime payment period.
Payslips should generally be given together with salary payment. If that is not possible, they must be provided within three working days of payment. Employers must also keep records of payslips issued.

Requirements depend on the employee and the items that apply to their pay. Review the current Ministry of Manpower guidance and make sure the payslip you issue contains the information required for your situation.

You can use it to prepare payslips using the fields and features provided by the tool. Before issuing a payslip, review the completed document and confirm that it reflects the employee’s actual salary and payment details.

Only rely on calculations that the tool explicitly provides and explains. If you enter CPF, overtime, allowances or deductions manually, verify the amounts against your payroll records and the rules applicable to your employee.

Not necessarily. A payslip must contain the required information applicable to the employee and salary period. Review the generated payslip before issuing it and refer to the current MOM guidance for your obligations.

You can return to the generator when you need it, subject to any usage limits shown in the tool. If monthly payslip preparation is taking significant time, consider whether payroll software would better support your recurring process.

If you also need to manage payroll calculations, attendance, overtime, leave, claims and employee records, you can request a free Adaptive Pay demo to discuss your requirements.
